Alexander Voyages are not for everyone. We design luxury gay travel experiences for discriminating and adventurous lesbian and gay guests who prefer to see the world in an uncommon, gay savvy way.
We offer gay and lesbian travel to conventional, “classic” destinations, as well as unusual, exotic destinations. Currently, these include Europe, Africa, Asia and the South Pacific.  Our guests are singles, couples and we occasionally offer gay family vacations.

Luxury can be found at almost any price. For us, luxury gay travel is much more about anticipating, meeting and exceeding our guests’ needs than putting an expensive price tag on the product we create and sell.

Regrettably, too many companies slap a pink label on their standard packages and call it “gay travel,” while their same sex guests wind up in a room with two twin beds. Gay and lesbian travelers should never face this kind of unacceptable surprise.

Similarly, in the world of “luxury travel,” too many companies worry about thread count, designer labels and perfumed give-aways at the expense of the service that makes a guest’s experience truly luxurious.

Your Hosts: Dustin and Raef (Alexander Voyages’ founders and owners) hand select each service partner around the world, so every aspect of our organization lives up to the strict Alexander Voyages Standard of Excellence and Pride of Service. This means we collect gay travel professionals with a keen understanding of, and commitment to, the unique needs of the individuals they serve.

Experience: Your Alexander Voyages luxury gay travel team has a combined experience of over 300 years in the travel industry – that’s a lot of knowledge and expertise focused directly on your satisfaction.

Team members work under the direct supervision of Raef and Dustin, benefiting in particular from Raef's 25 years of travel industry experience. His career path includes work as a luxury cruise line manager, directing operations for a large global tour operator, and personally designing unique travel experiences for small luxury travel groups and large educational travel groups.

The Alexander Voyages Difference

Gay travelers have been around for as long as humans have had feet. In recent years, many travel companies have adapted their travel packages to attract gay travelers. In our experience, these efforts generally fall far short of understanding the real needs of gay and lesbian travel consumers.

Being gay isn’t merely about being attracted to the same sex. Generally speaking, gay and lesbian people see the world a little differently. The gay community has slightly different values, wholly different expectations and vastly different needs than the straight community. Why small group gay travel?

Traveling in a group of like-minded gay travelers is always a unique experience. It validates us. It allows us the freedom to be ourselves.

Small group gay travel allows us to be open and carefree, focused on the joy of travel in some of the most exciting and interesting places on earth. Nothing is more comforting, relaxing and renewing than having the ability to let your guard down and enjoy yourself!

We’ve all traveled in groups before. How many times have we thought it would be nice to hold hands on the bus without drawing attention and feeling uncomfortable? When was the last time you sat on your lover’s lap in a group of “perfect strangers?” We all know what it feels like to be “stealing glances” at the server and saying nothing while others in the group feel entitled to ogle and high-five.

Small gay group travel is a horse of a different color! Of course, Alexander Voyages still happen in the real world and we can't guarantee that our guests will never experience homophobia during a Voyage. After all, we travel to some pretty exotic & remote locations. The difference is, if prejudice rears it’s ugly head, you’re stand among your supportive and protective circle of gay friends who sympathize and laugh about the situation.

Long before you depart for your Voyage, we’ll offer you a through menu of à la carte options for various destinations. You can “create your day,” selecting the sites most interesting to you, and we provide a private guide to help you get the most from your time. Whether by yourself, with your partner or with a few of your newfound friends, you are free to see what you want, when you want – or if you prefer, you can just relax and do nothing at all.

Of course, because we probably value your independence almost as much as you do, you’re never obligated to do anything just because you’re traveling with a small group. Our guests are always welcome to opt-out of any planned activity. But rest assured, if we’ve gone to the trouble to create an Alexander Voyages experience, you won’t want to miss it!
